Mayfair CDC Annual Dinner Dance Great Time Had by All

MAYFAIR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATIONNIGHT OF CHAMPIONS AWARD DINNER On October 12^th the Mayfair Community Development Corporation held its fifth annual “Night of Champions” award dinner. This year we changed locations to the new and beautiful Marsico Banquet Hall located at 3515 Welsh Road. This affair is sponsored by the Mayfair Community Development Corporation to celebrate the great things that are happening in Mayfair and to recognize three people who through their jobs and/or volunteer activities make Mayfair a great place to live and work. Each year our selection committee struggles to select a winner because there are so many great candidates, that in itself is a credit to the kind of people this community attracts and develops. This year was no exception, the candidates were phenomenal and the winners were outstanding. The award winners this year were: Public Service Award - Thomas Conway: Youth Service Award – Thomas Coyle;Community Service Award – Leo Dignam

The men “cleaned up well” in their tuxedos and suits and the women all looked beautiful. Mayfair not only shined in how they looked but the awardees along with the attendees were some of the community’s best and brightest. In attendance were leaders from youth organizations, business, education, Ministry, unions, and elected representatives along with family and friends. The awardees all gave fantastic acceptance speeches and were quick to thank their families, school teachers, coaches, and other mentors from the community. This evening was an opportunity for all who attended to see just how many people are working everyday to do good things in and around Mayfair. A good time was had by all.
